I recently tweeted about people who fly in to see me for a session/ the beach and fly back home in the same day. Some of you have no idea how that is possible and began messaging me inquiring to see how that is possible. It is VERY possible and it all depends on how long of a stay you are seeking to have. Here are some common ways people do this.
In order to do this, you must be aware of where I am located. I am located 20 minutes from the Palm Beach airport (PBI). This is where most people fly into to see me. If that is not possible, they fly into Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) which is 40 minutes away. PBI is a tiny airport with no backed-up traffic around the terminal so getting in and out of it is a breeze. Its such a breeze that I never arrive more than an hour early to take a flight from there as it takes 10-15 minutes to check a bag, get through security and to my gate. FLL is a larger airport and will have more cars around the terminal and you will need more time to get in and out of it.
From PBI, my studio is a $30 uber ride (cheaper than a cab) or you can rent a car which is very inexpensive in South Florida. From FLL airport it is about a $50 uber ride.
From PBI, you get right onto highway 95 to my dungeon in Delray Beach and are there in 20 minutes. 95 in that location never has traffic even during rush hour. Coming from FLL during rush hour times will be slower.
This is where people’s choice of what to do with their time differs from person to person.
Option1: Most people choose to come straight to my studio. They arrive at noon or so, depending on the time of their morning flight. They session for 3-5 hours, up until the time that they desire to catch the evening flight home. They shower, put themselves back together, and take another uber right back to the airport, eat some dinner at the airport and catch their flight back.
Option 2: A few people session for 1 or 2 hours and then want to head to the beach. The gorgeous beach is located less than 10 minutes from my studio, right up against a walk-able town full of boutiques, cafes and restaurants which is just 5 minutes from my studio. You can rent jet skis, paddle boards, and snorkel out to a wreck, right from the beach. People take a $10 uber there or if I am heading home after their appointment, I simply drop them off as I live in that area. Umbrellas and a beach chair are easy to rent on the beach. Its a relaxed beach, you don’t have the loud, partying 20-somethings, the low-lifes and questionable characters like you do at Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale or Miami beach. After a few hours of the beach and a restaurant, they go back to the airport.
People come from NY, Boston, CT, and even LA. Most commonly, New Yorkers come in on an 8am flight and they get to my studio before noon. They take a 4pm, 5pm, 6pm or 8pm flight home.
