Dungeon Design Shift: Update

With a few days left of 2025, I wanted to reflect on how the year has been and where things are heading in terms of the changes to my studio.
2025 was a year of deep self-reflection and a lot of changes.
I had started the year with a massive dungeon purge. Many big bags of toys, gear, and wardrobe that were rarely ever used and less favorable were hauled off. Sold or donated to others. This purge took a very long time, as I had to go through the items from my own Florida dungeon, the NY dungeon I had closed and that ended up here, as well as all the items from clubdom.com I had inherited when I purchased their property. I was doing this around my own appointments and personal life, so it was a slow process and a careful one, where I had to really think about a few items and whether or not I wanted to keep them. After almost six months of tackling one pile, cabinet, storage bin, or closet at a time, the purge was finally finished. I am left with all of the incredible toys, gear, and furniture that I love and that are loved the most by the people I play with. I also have room to acquire new items if I wish.
As I had purged, I also had rearranged my studio. As the toys, gear, and furniture found their new spaces to exist in, I began to play with people in these new spaces and layouts. While doing so, I pondered how I would repaint and decorate these rooms, which would be the final act of my whole dungeon shift and redesign.
Playing in this new layout had also given me time to take things for a test run. While things are going in the right direction, I realized I still need to tweak and rework much of my studio.
The first few months of 2026 will include wrapping up this studio re-design. I am hoping to have it finished by mid-March. A big reno of the studio kitchen is happening in February.
By the time this is all finished, my studio will be way different than what my subs are used to seeing, but also enable me to have a multitude of new kinky worlds to explore here. My studio was formerly 2,500 square feet of BDSM themed rooms. Now it will be 600 square feet of a more “hardcore” BDSM dungeon room, and 1,900 square feet of a stylish, domestic space.
Why would I choose to make a dungeon smaller and a domestic area larger? This sounds like the wrong move to a lot of kinky folks, but it is actually a great move. My former 2,500-square-foot dungeon was filled with many items and furniture I rarely used. While it appeared to be a dream dungeon and was very theatrical, it had spaces for scenes I did less and less of over the years. Or had themed rooms, I did not necessarily need. For example, while I have more sissification and CD clothes than most Mistresses I know, I did not need a themed room for this, as once I dressed up those subs, I then played with them in other kinky rooms with kinky furniture. I instead really just needed a large closet.
Because of the enormous space this gear and furniture occupied, it did not lend itself well to housing visiting Mistresses, personal service spaces, or workshops. I did not have the ability to do enough play in domestic settings, which feels natural.
Having a 600 square foot hardcore dungeon with furniture and toys and a very high ceiling is incredible because this does not mean that the rest of the 1,900 square feet will not be kinky. Instead, it lends itself to become a “canvas” for me to bring kinky elements into, as I design each appointment to my liking.
For example, a 2-hour bondage appointment will likely take place in my 600-square-foot dungeon room. But an 8-hour objectification appointment might start there and then end up taking place throughout my huge domestic space, depending on how I want to use the sub for my enjoyment. A 3-day servitude and play appointment would take place in the entire space.
This new design lends itself to my personal preferred style, which I like to call "femdom casual." It is where I can be very kinky in "normal" spaces, sometimes while doing "normal things." Since a piece of my heart still needs a hardcore dungeon sometimes, I am still going to have a big hardcore room for such scenes.
I am in the home stretch and feeling very positive about this change, and I have to be patient as I only have a few more months to go until it is complete.
